Deviation Actions
So this group's been kind of a photo gallery lately, with not much going on beyond plain old submissions. I'd like us to be a *group* again, and do something together.
The Open Format Questions have had very low participation rates after the first few rounds, and are a fair bit of effort to keep up. I thin it's time to call it quits for them.
Therefore, we are taking suggestions for new group activities.
In addition, we will also be holding a comic spotlight as an interim activity.
The rules of the Comic Spotlight are to respond to this journal, (or a future WC-R Comic Spotlight journal), with a promotional page, drawing or blurb for your comic.
Rules:
-Post it as a comment to this journal or a later WC-R journal
-Expressly made for WC-R (should mention the group somewhere)
-Can be a page, single drawing or a text blurb (max 1000 characters for text, we will ignore everything longer)
-Has to answer- why is your comic special/fun/worth reading?
-It is okay to post your entry again next round if you did not win
We will be selecting one or two entries per every two weeks (possibly three entries if there is enough interest) to be featured, prominently, in our next journal. You will be notified in advance and can supply additional information or answer a short interview if you are selected!
Order of priority for Spotlight submissions:
1) Comic page, animation or sequential art entries
2) Single-frame or other visual entries
3) Text entries (limit 1000 characters) and new submissions from past winners
Meaning that comic pages will be taken first, then if there are no more comics under consideration, we will take other drawings, and if there are no drawings, then text entries and new entries from people who have already won.
The first Spotlight will take place on February 1st. Let the games begin!

Administration Changes 2019
Hello webcomickers!
I'm looking to take more of a hands-off approach to the administration of WCR. To that end, I'm beginning a bit of an experiment. If it turns out awful, we'll just go back to the way it was before.
1. I've removed the "Updates" folder and added six new "Member's Comics" folders. Members can submit 1 (ONE) deviation per day to these folders, AUTOMATICALLY APPROVED.
Please, use your common sense when submitting, Members... If I start getting complaints from our Contributors or other Members, I'll have to make the folders more exclusive again. Submit your comics, submit your promotional materials for your comics, submit yo
Winter Purge 2018 - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
HEY GUYS! It's that time of year again! It's time for us to clean out some old comics and make way for some new ones! I'm sorry for the inactivity if you've been waiting for a folder.
Hopefully I replied to everyone who wanted their own folder!
As per the rules, comics that have been inactive for over a year will be deleted from our gallery. This means comics from that haven't updated since December 2017 at the latest are going to be leaving our group and the members who own the folders will be demoted to members.
ALSO, remember that we host COMICS ONLY! I've seen a couple active users use their folder as a catch-all for ANY art that's rel
Recruiting Co-Founders
Heyo babs, I am currently searching for new Co-Founders to help me run WCR. I'm super proud of how our Contributors have been successfully curating the Featured gallery, so I'm thinking it's time to pass on the torch to one or two of them, so we can get more new Contributors set up with folders and display their work in WCR in a more timely manner.
So, to apply:
--Must be a current Contributor who participates in the Submissions voting, and does so correctly (So you know how to follow the rules and all that). I can look at the logs, and I will be checking.
--Must be willing to curate gallery folders subjectively. The three big rules is tha
WC-R Update 2018
Hello my lovelies! Submissions are looking fantastic, I'm loving what I'm seeing in the Featured folder! Those are some beautiful cover arts you guys! And our group's Contributors are doing a fantastic job of curating the Featured folder! Fabulous, keep it up guys!
I apologize for my absence from the group. With the exit of Mushaden, I'm the last active co-founder in the WC-R group. I'm still endeavoring to do my best to maintain the group, but things may not move as quickly as everyone would like. With that in mind, please observe the following announcements:
The Winter Purge wasn't a thing this year, where we remove folders of inactive we

I've been itching to know who's going to get the feature . I know it wasn't mine since you didn't contact me, but I am still curious to know which comic got lucky .
